KSU - Telecommunications Structured Cabling

The Kennesaw State University is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers to provide comprehensive telecommunications and data infrastructure services for construction and renovation projects across its Kennesaw and Marietta campuses. The scope of work includes the design, installation, testing, and documentation of structured cabling systems, encompassing fiber optic and CAT 6A copper cabling, as well as associated infrastructure such as equipment racks, cable trays, grounding systems, and wireless access point installations. The awarded contractor(s) will be responsible for delivering a complete, standards-compliant telecommunications system that supports voice, data, and network connectivity throughout academic, administrative, and auxiliary facilities. • The project includes both inside and outside plant work, with detailed specifications for MDF/IDF room construction, environmental controls, power requirements, and pathway coordination. • The university adheres to strict industry standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEC) and requires all work to be coordinated with its University Information Technology Services (UITS) department. • A mandatory Offerors' Conference will be held to provide prospective suppliers with an overview of the project scope, expectations, and technical requirements.
