Description
The State Highway Administration is seeking a contractor to provide automotive lift inspections, maintenance, and repair services at various locations in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties. The contractor will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on an as-needed basis, and will be required to maintain records of all work performed. The contract will be for a period of 24 months, and the contractor will be paid on a firm fixed price basis. The contractor will be required to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the commercial automotive lift installation and repair business, and must have a staff of at least one qualified technician who is fully trained and certified in the inspection criteria and to service all types of MDOT SHA equipment lifts.
Some key responsibilities of the contractor include:
* Performing inspections and maintenance on automotive lifts
* Performing repairs on automotive lifts
* Maintaining records of all work performed
* Providing a truck or van stocked with the typical tools and supplies needed to perform the work
* Responding to calls for repair within seven working days
* Providing a not-to-exceed quotation after the initial assessment on each repair
* Working in compliance with MOSH, OSHA, ANSI/ALI standards and regulations
