Description
The City of Albany, Procurement Division, on behalf of the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners, is seeking qualified contractors for the renovation and upgrade of the Westtown Library facility. The project aims to modernize the facility while preserving its architectural character. Key project components include interior remodeling, system upgrades, accessibility improvements, and exterior work. The contractor will be responsible for visiting the job site, familiarizing themselves with local conditions, and completing the contract requirements in accordance with specifications, general conditions, and special instructions to bidders.
• Interior Remodeling: Selective demolition and construction to improve the internal layout.
• System Upgrades: Modernization of the mechanical and electrical systems.
• Accessibility Improvements: Ensuring full compliance with ADA standards.
• Exterior Work: Necessary repairs and additions to the building's exterior.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total base bid.
