Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide flooring installation services for the Wellness Center. The scope of work includes subsurface preparation, moisture remediation, and the installation of cementitious self-leveling underlayment. The contractor must ensure that the flooring meets the requirements of the specified flooring manufacturer and complies with all applicable fire, health, environmental, and safety requirements.
• The contractor must conduct visual observations of the existing floor covering and remove it if necessary.
• The contractor must prepare the concrete substrate according to the flooring manufacturer's written instructions.
• The contractor must apply a moisture remediation coating if the relative humidity testing exceeds the requirements of the specified flooring manufacturer.
• The contractor must install cementitious self-leveling underlayment as required to correct surface defects, floor flatness or levelness corrections, and provide a smooth surface for the installation of floor covering.
