Description
The St. Johns River Water Management District is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide large machine mowing services for the North, West, North Central, South Central, and Southwest Regions. The contractor will be responsible for mowing vegetated levees, roads, trails, and rights-of-way to ensure safe access and maintain desirable vegetation height and coverage. The contractor must provide unit pricing for each line item associated with each region and adhere to the performance standards and requirements outlined in the solicitation.
Some key aspects of the job include:
• Mowing shall be performed year-round throughout all five regions of the District.
• The contractor must provide a monthly work schedule and a progress report of completed work.
• The contractor is responsible for removing any foreign items that could be torn or scattered by the mower.
• The contractor must vary the cutting pattern to minimize rutting or levee degradation.
• The District may request additional acreage, areas, and/or mowing cycles to be mowed at any time during the contract period.
