Description
This solicitation is for the design‑build construction of bicycle‑ and pedestrian‑safety improvements along Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. The work includes extensive roadway resurfacing, curb extensions, concrete‑mountable curbs, embedded delineator tiles, a lane‑separator system with reboundable bollards, new sidewalk installations, traffic‑signal upgrades, street‑lighting, utility protection and relocation, tree planting, and related environmental remediation.
• Asphalt and concrete pavement installation (macadam, wearing courses, reinforced curbs, etc.)
• Utility adjustments and protection (sewer, storm‑water, manholes, catch basins, conduit, HDPE pipe)
• Traffic‑signal, signage, and lighting upgrades (LED heads, pedestrian signals, flashing arrow boards)
• Tree‑planting, landscaping, and environmental remediation (contaminated soil handling, rodent surveys)
