Fulweiler to Garfield Pipeline Replacement Project

The Fulweiler to Garfield Pipeline Replacement Project involves the construction of a new water main in Auburn, California. The project includes the installation of ductile iron pipe, PVC pipe, and steel casing, as well as the removal and abandonment of old pipe. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, taxes, equipment, and services necessary for the completion of the project. The project requires the contractor to work in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Hazen and Sawyer. Some key aspects of the project include: • Installation of 143 linear feet of ductile iron pipe in Fulweiler Avenue • Installation of 126 linear feet of ductile iron pipe encased in a 24-inch steel casing through Highway 49 • Installation of 1,163 linear feet of PVC pipe down a private alley and in Garfield Street • Nightwork for work within the Caltrans right-of-way • 12 private service connections • Installation of a new hydrant • Valving • Removal and/or abandonment of old pipe • Final pavement
