Localized Pavement repairs

The City of Lowell, Department of Public Works is seeking bids for localized pavement repairs. The project involves repairing and resurfacing various streets in the city. Bidders must provide unit prices for different items of work, including drainage structure rebuilding, gate box adjusting, hot mix asphalt pavement, and more. The project is expected to be completed within 214 consecutive calendar days after the notice to proceed is issued. The contractor will be responsible for ordering and paying for police details. • The project requires bidders to have experience with similar work and to provide references. • The contractor must comply with the minority manpower ratio and specific affirmative action steps contained in the contract. • The contractor must obtain from each of its subcontractors and submit to the contracting or administering agency prior to the award of any subcontract under this contract the subcontractor certification required by these bid conditions. • The contractor must execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the general bid and furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials or payment bond, each of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the awarding authority.
