2026-2028 Grinder Pump Installations

The Charter Township of Commerce is seeking a qualified contractor to install grinder pumps in the township for the next three years, with an option to extend for two additional years. The contractor must have at least three years of experience installing grinder pumps for a municipality. The installation will include the provision of performance bonds, completion of installations within four weeks of authorization, and assistance with the delivery of grinder pump shipments. The contractor will also be responsible for obtaining necessary permits, providing groundwater pumping/control, and scheduling and performing grinder station start-ups. • Installation of prefabricated grinder pump stations • Furnish and install 1-1/4" grinder pump discharge pipe • Furnish and install 4" PVC Schedule 40 drain pipe • Furnish and install 1-1/4" Service Valve and install 1-1/4" redundant check valve • Abandon existing septic tank and fill with concrete or flowfill or stone • Remove and replace asphalt pavement section for pressure sewer tap under pavement • Remove and replace concrete sidewalk • Time spent locating leads • Replace existing damaged curb stop and grinder pump lid • Install extensions to grinder pump • Provide complete operational stations including all electrical
