NORTH APRON LANDSIDE DEVELOPMENT

The City of Lynchburg is seeking bids for the North Apron Landside Development project at the Lynchburg Regional Airport. The project involves the construction of a new apron and landside development, including the installation of utilities, pavement, and other infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed within a certain timeframe, and the contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the contract documents and specifications. Some key aspects of the project include: • The contractor will be required to submit a detailed progress schedule for the entire project at least 10 days prior to the preconstruction conference. • The contractor will be responsible for protecting existing items on the airfield that are not identified to be removed or modified. • The contractor will be required to provide a traffic control plan, temporary signage, marking, flagmen, etc., in conformance with the plans and the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). • The contractor will be responsible for the security of their equipment and materials, as well as the security of the equipment and materials of their agents and subcontractors. The project requires the contractor to have experience in airport construction and to be familiar with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and guidelines. The contractor will also be required to provide a list of all their employees as well as a list of all the employees of their subcontractors, and to advise the designated agent of changes to the list of personnel working on the project.
