Battery Storage Adjustable Racking System

The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide a battery storage adjustable racking system. The system should be Brand Name or Equal to the Stanley Vidmar 2K STAK Adjustable Racking System and must meet specific salient characteristics, including the ability to safely house densely packed Lead-Acid, Ni-CAD, and heavy Lithium-Ion aircraft batteries without structural buckling. The system should comprise two complete systems of reduced-height, heavy-duty adjustable racking with heavy-duty industrial storage pallets. The contractor must also provide on-site installation of the storage system and ensure compliance with various regulations, including the California Building Code, ASCE 7, ANSI MH16.1 / MH16.3, and OSHA standards. Some key features of the system include: • Total Racking Systems: Two complete systems of reduced-height, heavy-duty adjustable racking with heavy-duty industrial storage pallets • Layout: Systems are to be configured in a back-to-back orientation as a single deep-storage structural unit • Total Height: Site can accommodate between 6’ – 7’ • Pallets: 100% Extension Roll-out, able to be accessed with forklift, with a load capacity of 2,000 lbs per pallet • Top Frames & Bracing: One complete set of top frames and cross-bracing structurally connecting the two systems for reinforced stability • Column Protectors: Heavy-duty front column protectors provided for all exposed uprights
