Construction and/or Renovation to Buildings, Additions, or Structures

The State of Illinois is providing a grant opportunity for construction and/or renovation to buildings, additions, or structures. The goal of this program is to improve the quality of life of Illinoisans. The grant will fund costs associated with land and/or building purchase and renovations at and/or near 8690 South Vincennes Avenue in Chicago. The funded project must meet bondable requirements as set forth in 30 ILCS 425 The Build Illinois Bond Act. Key aspects of the grant include: • The total amount of grant funds for this award is $2,000,000. • Applicants must submit a project narrative that describes in detail the proposed project activities. • The project narrative should include enough information for DCEO to understand the scope of the project, including a detailed breakdown of the costs associated with each utilized budget line. • The grant is limited to capital improvement expenses and is funded via bond funds. • Indirect Costs, general operation overhead, and administrative expenses are not allowed for coverage by bond funds.
