JCAC New Century AirCenter (IXD) Reconstruct Runway 18/36 Project

The Johnson County Airport Commission (JCAC) is seeking bids for the reconstruction of Runway 18/36 at the New Century AirCenter (IXD). The project includes site preparation, excavation, installation of aggregate base course and PCC pavement, pavement marking, and drainage improvements. The project also includes installation of electrical cabling, new signage, and seeding and mulching. Alternative work includes constructing a new run-up apron for Runway 36, rehabilitating Taxiway L lighting, and seal coating Taxiway A and F. • The project requires bidders to submit a bid bond, evidence of competence to perform the work, and compliance with DBE requirements. • The project is subject to the "Buy American Preferences" of the Aviation Safety and Capacity Act of 1990. • The bid package includes plans and specifications, which are available through IonWave or can be downloaded for a non-refundable fee. • A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 17, 2026, and technical questions and requests for clarification must be submitted via IonWave by June 25, 2026.
