The City of Daytona Beach is seeking a tennis professional to provide comprehensive tennis programming at the Florida Tennis Center. The selected individual will be responsible for instructional programming, event management, marketing, and facility coordination. The tennis professional will work on an independent contractor basis and will be compensated based on a percentage of fees collected from lesson programming. The city is looking for a qualified individual with extensive knowledge of tennis and experience in promoting and implementing large and varied programs of events, classes, and leagues. • The tennis professional will provide regular tennis instruction to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels. • The tennis professional will develop and implement a variety of programs, including clinics, camps, and leagues. • The tennis professional will oversee all instructional activities and establish metrics or expectations for any subcontracted instructors. • The tennis professional will be responsible for paying all tournament expenses and remitting 30% of gross entry fees to the city. • The tennis professional will maintain the cleanliness and order of teaching areas, ball shed, equipment, and office.
