Description
The United States Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide all items, articles, materials, operations, or methods listed, mentioned or scheduled on the drawings and/or as specified herein, including all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary and required for completion of a lightning protection system (LPS) upgrade and inspection. The LPS system cables shall be up sized to AWG 4/0 (approximately 1/2”) copper to bring the system up to code, and a small quantity of frayed cable will be replaced. The LPS inspection shall be compliant with the most current edition of NFPA 780.
• The contractor shall provide and deliver to the United States Air Force a hard copy and a digital CD of the acceptance testing results and the UL Lightning Protection Inspection Certificate for the facility.
• The UL Lightning Protection Inspection Certificate shall be certified to NFPA 780 Chapter 8.
• The contractor shall have attended and completed the Senior Inspector AMMO 47 or better training or equivalent.
