Professional Nursing Services

The Newark Board of Education is seeking qualified, baccalaureate‑prepared Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to deliver comprehensive professional nursing services across four distinct school‑based offices (Special Education, Early Childhood, Extended Learning Time, and Health Services). Vendors must submit a pre‑qualification package that includes detailed program plans, staffing résumés, all‑inclusive hourly rates for Years 1‑5, and extensive certifications and insurance documentation. The contract will be awarded on a pre‑qualification basis, with one or more firms potentially receiving a three‑year base period (July 1 – June 30) and an optional two‑year renewal, funded only upon issuance of a purchase order. • Provide RN/LPN services covering health record management, medication administration, emergency response, screenings, parent education, and on‑site support for special education, preschool, after‑school, and health‑services programs. • Required staffing patterns: Early Childhood RN/LPN – Mon‑Fri 6.25 hr shift; Extended Learning Time – Mon‑Fri 2.5 hr shift plus select Saturdays; Health Services – Mon‑Fri 6.5 hr shift; Special Education – full‑day coverage aligned with school day. • Vendors must be COVID‑19 vaccinated, hold NJ Business Registration, pass background checks, carry $1 M general liability, workers’ comp, and $1 M commercial auto insurance, and submit all mandatory forms (W‑9, financials, non‑collusion affidavit, political‑contribution disclosure, etc.).
