Reconstruction of Farnham Estates Phase I

The Town of South Windsor is soliciting bids for the full‑depth reconstruction of the Farnham Estates residential neighborhood (Phase I). The work includes demolition of existing pavement, installation of new storm‑drainage pipelines, catch basins, manholes, placement of processed‑aggregate base, two lifts of hot‑mix asphalt, curb and pavement markings, grading of roadside slopes, and topsoil/seed restoration. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder and will require prevailing‑wage compliance, bid, performance and payment bonds, and extensive utility coordination. • Full‑depth road reconstruction with new HMA pavement, curbs, and markings. • Storm‑drainage system upgrade: HDPE pipe, Type C catch basins, manholes, and gate‑box adjustments. • Site work: earth excavation, subbase placement, erosion‑control, topsoil and seeding, utility relocation, and traffic‑control management.
