The City of Salina is seeking competitive sealed bids to design‑build a new scale‑house facility and associated truck‑scale infrastructure at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes demolition of existing structures, construction of a new scale‑house building with full MEP systems, installation of two 18‑in. truck scales, extensive site grading, utility upgrades (water, sewer, electrical, fiber conduit), pavement work, erosion‑control measures, and ancillary items such as fencing, lighting, signage, and gates. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and coordination required to deliver a fully operational scale‑house and site improvements by the substantial‑completion deadline.
• Demolition of old scale house, utilities, and pavement; new 1,500‑gal septic, water and sewer lines, and diesel generator.
• Earthwork (5,340 CY cut/fill), 99,631 SF concrete pavement, 400 SF concrete pads, curbs, sidewalks, parking lot, and drainage infrastructure.
• Installation of two truck scales, steel deck scales, metal catwalks, remote‑operated gate, and comprehensive erosion‑control and landscaping.
