Description
The U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, is seeking a contractor to perform demolition, removal, and restoration activities at two FAA facilities: MKL NDB in Jackson, TN, and BWG VOR in Bowling Green, KY. The contractor will be responsible for conducting all work in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements, and will be required to submit a draft Demolition, Removal, and Restoration work plan within 10 business days after attending a kickoff meeting with the Volpe Center representatives. The contractor will also be responsible for obtaining all necessary local, state, and federal permits for demolition work, and for providing adequate protection against accidental trespassing.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Demolition and removal of on-site structures and infrastructure
• Restoration of disturbed areas
• Preparation and submission of a draft and final Demolition, Removal, and Restoration work plan
• Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals
• Providing adequate protection against accidental trespassing
The period of performance for this effort shall be from date of award to September 30, 2026.
