The County is seeking a qualified general building contractor to fully renovate a 2,690 sf shell on the second floor of the Hialeah Courthouse into a modern courtroom and judge’s chambers. The work includes demolition, new interior partitions, finishes, ADA‑compliant fixtures, courtroom‑specific furnishings, mechanical/electrical/plumbing upgrades, fire‑protection integration, security systems, and full audiovisual equipment. The contractor must manage all trades, coordinate with designated fire‑alarm and BMS vendors, and deliver a code‑compliant, fully functional space within 270 calendar days. • Complete architectural build‑out (walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, acoustic treatments). • Installation of courtroom furniture, AV system, lighting, and security/access‑control hardware. • Coordination of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection, and low‑voltage systems to meet 2023 FL Building Code (Level 2 Alteration). • Mandatory pre‑bid meeting/site visit on 24 Feb 2026; electronic bid submission by 17 Mar 2026, 2 PM.
