Vertical Rise Platform Lift for CyRide

The City of Ames, dba: CyRide, is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of a replacement platform lift in its wash bay. The lift must be a heavy-duty vertical rise platform lift capable of lifting all types and sizes of buses in CyRide's fleet, including 40-foot and 60-foot buses. The lift must meet specific specifications, including a minimum lifting platform length of 47 feet, a minimum lifting capacity of 75,000 LB, and be wash bay ready. The successful bidder will be required to provide installation services once the floor reconstruction project is complete. • The lift must be able to lift all buses within CyRide's fleet. • The lift must meet specific specifications, including a minimum lifting platform length of 47 feet and a minimum lifting capacity of 75,000 LB. • The lift must be wash bay ready and have a hot dipped galvanized main platform and floor contact plate/bracket. • The control station must be hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel and have watertight electrical components. • The lift must have a remote pendant to control all functions of the lift from a separate location from the main control station. • The lift must have built-in automatic roll off protection on both ends of the lifting platform and built-in automatic locks that are fail-safe.
