CFPUA Valve Exercising and Maintenance Program

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) is seeking an experienced contractor to perform valve exercising within the Authority service area. The contractor will be responsible for evaluating and improving the operability of water valves in the distribution system, providing a web-based project management dashboard, and performing discretionary infrastructure repair activities. The contractor will also be required to collect and deliver data on valve assessments, including GPS locations and operational information. The contract is expected to be executed within 10 calendar days after receipt, and the complete scope and contract are expected by August 25, 2026. • Evaluate and improve the operability of water valves in the distribution system through hands-on field activities and document and integrate the collected information on valves into CFPUA’s GIS system. • Provide a web-based project management dashboard allowing CFPUA to monitor the current state-of-the-art program, including statistical metrics on the assessment results of the assets, live throughout the project. • Perform discretionary infrastructure repair activities. • Collect and deliver data on valve assessments, including GPS locations and operational information. • Develop, plan, and execute a valve exercise and maintenance program.
