Mendendhall Wastewater Treatment Plant Structural and Life Safety Assessment

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a qualified consultant to perform a structural corrosion and life safety assessment of the Mendenhall Wastewater Treatment Plant. The assessment should include a report and recommendations for repairs or corrections. The scope of work includes tasks such as gathering and reviewing existing conditions documentation, performing field inspections, and designing repairs based on the outcome of the assessment. The selected consultant will be required to provide a written technical condition report, a review of current applicable codes and life safety requirements, and a rough order of magnitude cost estimate for corrections. The project is expected to last approximately 200 days. • The consultant will be responsible for conducting a field survey of hazardous materials, including sampling and testing. • The consultant will be required to provide design development, construction documents, and bidding services. • The consultant will be expected to attend meetings with the City and Borough of Juneau staff and provide design clarification as requested. • The consultant will be required to submit all deliverables in a specific format, including electronic copies of drawings and specifications.
