Beaufort Executive Airport Transient Hangar Design Build

The Beaufort County is seeking a design-build team to develop a new 120-foot by 60-foot clear-span transient aircraft hangar at Beaufort Executive Airport. The project includes full design, engineering, pricing, procurement, construction, and closeout services. The selected team will deliver a durable, maintainable, and cost-effective facility that supports transient general aviation operations and aligns with the Airport's operational and development objectives. Key aspects of the project include: • Design and construction of the hangar building • Installation of a large clear-opening hangar door system • Compliance with applicable code, wind-load, and coastal design requirements • Validation of site conditions and integration into the design • Collaboration with the County to refine the scope, establish pricing, and advance the project The County is looking for a team with experience in design-build delivery, aviation or similar industrial/facility construction, pre-engineered metal building systems, and large aircraft hangar door systems.
