Description
Emanuel County Schools is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of one new compact hydraulic mini excavator for use by the Maintenance Department. The mini excavator will be used for school system maintenance including trenching, drainage repairs, utility work, light grading, and general construction support. The machine shall meet or exceed the minimum specifications provided, including size classification, operating weight, engine, performance, undercarriage requirements, operator station, hydraulic equipment, and warranty requirements.
• The machine shall be in the 3–4 ton compact excavator class
• The machine shall have a diesel engine with a minimum of 20 horsepower
• The machine shall have a minimum digging depth of 9 feet and two-speed travel
• The machine shall include rubber tracks, backfill blade, and stable undercarriage design
• The machine shall have a fully enclosed cab with factory-installed heat and air conditioning
• The machine shall include hydraulic thumb, quick coupler, and auxiliary hydraulics
• The machine shall include at minimum one trench bucket approximately 12–18 inches wide
• The machine shall have a minimum warranty of 24 months and/or 2,000 hours
• The vendor shall provide delivery, pre-delivery inspection and setup, and basic operator orientation at time of delivery
