The Pennsylvania State University selected an architectural/engineering firm to design and oversee the renovation and addition of the DuBois Multipurpose Building, a 31,350 GSF facility serving athletics, recreation, and health programs. The scope includes up to 14,000 GSF of new construction, roughly 30,000 GSF of renovation to the existing building, and 5,700 SF of renovation to the Smeal Building to relocate wildlife and physical‑therapy programs. The A/E team will work in a design‑build environment alongside a Construction Manager at Risk, delivering schematic design through construction administration, meeting LEED certification goals, and integrating updated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems. Funding for the overall project is $15 million; the design services contract is a separate fee‑based award.
