Description
The contract is for the resurfacing of Colbert Lane and Grady Prather Jr Cove in Flagler County, Florida. The project includes milling, resurfacing, and other associated improvements, and must be completed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The contract was awarded to Halifax Paving, Inc. on February 5, 2018. Key features of the project include:
• Resurfacing of Colbert Lane from Palm Coast Parkway SE to State Road 100
• Resurfacing of Grady Prather Jr Cove from Colbert Lane to its eastern terminus
• Milling of Grady Prather Jr Cove and rural sections of Colbert Lane to a 1 inch depth
• Placement of 1.5 inches and 1 inch of friction course on Colbert Lane and Grady Prather Jr Cove, respectively
• Reduction of travel lanes from 12 feet to 11 feet wide and increase of shoulders from 3 foot to 4 foot wide in rural sections of Colbert Lane
• Construction of dedicated bicycle lanes in rural sections of Colbert Lane
• Maintenance of traffic, control and abatement of erosion and water pollution, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavation and embankment construction, resurfacing, signage, pavement markings, and grassing.
