Fence Installation – Schuylkill River Trail Pottstown

The contract is for the installation of a fence along the Schuylkill River Trail in Pottstown, PA. The scope of work includes supplying and installing approximately 3,755 feet of chain link fencing, with a 42" height and a 6" gap beneath the fence for vegetation management. The contractor is responsible for coordinating all work with the Regional Trail Manager, restoring the trail shoulder and surface to pre-construction conditions, and repairing any damage to the existing trail surface during installation. The contract also includes the supply and installation of black and brown coated fencing. • The fence shall be 9 gauge, vinyl coated chain link fence with 2” meshing. • The fence shall be 42” in height and include a 6” gap beneath the fence to allow for vegetation management. • The contractor shall utilize approximately 2” line posts, 1 5/8” top rails, and 2 ½” ends/corners. • All ends, corners, posts, rails, and other hardware should be colored to match the fence. • All posts should be concreted in place.
