MOTOR VEHICLE: MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPER

The contract is for the furnishing and delivery of a mechanical street sweeper to the County of Ocean. The sweeper is a six-wheel, single-engine broom street sweeper with a cleated belt conveyor, and is mounted on a conventional chassis. The contract includes various specifications and requirements for the sweeper, including engine, transmission, hydraulic system, and electrical system. The contract also includes options for diagnostic tools, two-way radio power and wiring, and technical support. The contract value is $1,121,055.00, and the contract period is from July 7, 2021, to July 6, 2022. • The sweeper is required to have a minimum of 5.4 cubic yards of volumetric capacity and a useable capacity of not less than 4.3 yards. • The sweeper must be capable of dumping at varying heights, with a minimum dump angle of 50 degrees. • The contract includes a limited lifetime warranty on the Lifeliner Hopper System. • Technical support is to be provided by factory-authorized technical representatives, with a total of 180 training/support hours. • The contract is subject to the terms and conditions of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.
