Roadway Surface Treatment Summer 2013 - Various Locations

The County of Placer is seeking bids for a roadway surface treatment project at various locations. The project includes the placement of type 2 microsurfacing, modified asphalt binder chip seal, and seal coat on approximately 59 miles of county roadways. The engineer's estimate for the project is $2,700,000. The contract will require the successful bidder to furnish a payment bond, performance bond, and certificates of liability and property damage insurance. The contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements. • The project includes the placement of type 2 microsurfacing on approximately 28.5 miles of county roadways. • The project includes the placement of 3/8” modified asphalt binder chip seal with fog seal on approximately 14 miles of county roadways. • The project includes the placement of 3/8” modified asphalt binder chip seal with type 2 microsurfacing (cape seal) on approximately 7.5 miles of county roadways. • The project includes the placement of a seal coat on approximately 9.0 miles of pedestrian path. • The contract requires the successful bidder to possess a valid California Class A contractor’s license. • The contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements.
