TANK CHANGE OUT ON A 2009 INTERNATIONAL WORKSTAR CHASSIS (REMOVE OLD TANK AND INSTALL A NEW 3600 G. WATER TANK)

The County of Kern is seeking a vendor to provide a tank change out on a 2009 International Workstar Chassis. The scope of work includes removing the old tank and installing a new 3600 gallon water tank and baffle. The contract was awarded to McLellan Industries, Inc. for a lump sum of $32,972.95. The contract duration is estimated to be around 90 days, with an estimated delivery date of August 16th, if the purchase order is received by June 4th. • The new tank shall be elliptical in design, with approximate dimensions of 59" high and 96" wide and 187" long. • The tank shall be made of A36 mild steel or equal materials. • The tank shall have 2 full box bolsters, one in the front and one in the rear. • The tank shall be equipped with a rear ladder and mud-flap brackets. • The tank shall be painted white to match the truck.
