2014 Underground Utility Locating Services

The City of Olathe, Kansas, is seeking a qualified underground utility locating company to provide services for the location of City-owned underground utilities. The company will be responsible for performing all traffic locates, as well as water and sewer locates that cannot be handled by City locating staff. The company must meet Kansas One-Call and state of Kansas Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act requirements. • The contract involves locating City-owned underground utilities, including waterline, sanitary sewer, electrical power, fiber optic communications, and other utilities. • The company will receive traffic tickets directly from Kansas One-Call and will be responsible for performing all traffic locates. • The company will also be responsible for performing water and sewer locates that cannot be handled by City locating staff. • The company must meet Kansas One-Call and state of Kansas Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act requirements.
