Sheriff Tow Vehicle, 19,500 Pound GVWR Minimum, Diesel Powered, 4WD Crew Cab

The County of Sacramento issued a Request for Bid (RFB) #8671 for the purchase of one new, unused 19,500 pound GVWR minimum, diesel powered, four wheel drive, crew cab truck chassis with body fully equipped to tow a 30,000 pound gooseneck trailer. The vehicle will be used by the Sacramento Sheriff's Department as a tow vehicle for the transport of incident response equipment. The contract was awarded to Downtown Ford Sales. The RFB included various appendices, such as specifications, terms and conditions, and pricing information. • The vehicle must meet all the requirements and specifications included in the RFB. • The bid responses were considered valid for a period of 180 days after the bid closing date. • The County appreciates the participation of bidders in this RFB to meet its requirement for a tow vehicle. • The Contract and Purchasing Services Division completed its evaluation of the RFB and determined that the bid from Downtown Ford is in the best interest of the County.
