Design Services, Harold and Van Mar Lift Station Rehabilitation

The City of Olathe, Kansas, Public Works Department is seeking qualified firms to submit qualifications for the preparation of design and construction documents for the Harold and Van Mar Lift Station Rehabilitation project. The project involves rehabilitating and/or replacing various deteriorated components to minimize the risk of failure, optimize hydraulic performance, improve mechanical and electrical efficiency, and decrease operations and maintenance costs. The selected consultant will work closely with the Stormwater Consultant to mitigate lift station interference with the channel re-alignment and vice versa. Key aspects of the project include: • Rehabilitation and/or replacement of lift station components • Site improvements, including an access road/ramp • Possible water and sewer utility relocations • Integration with adjacent stormwater improvements The project was awarded to Tetra Tech, Inc. on April 7, 2015.
