Portable Bagging Unit

The County of Kern is seeking to purchase a new and unused Rotochopper, Go-Bagger 250, Bagging Machine with Erosion Sock Filling Attachment, or equivalent. The contract includes the delivery of the machine, as well as various accessories such as sealable bags and erosion sock rolls. The contract was awarded to Rotochopper, Inc. with a total cost of $99,189.89. The key features of the machine include a 2.5 cubic yard hopper, hydraulic pressure-controlled bagging head, and a digital control system. The contract also includes a warranty and maintenance requirements. • The machine must be able to accommodate 8", 9", and 12" standard erosion socks. • The machine must have a reinforced 2.5 cubic yard hopper and a hopper conveyor with high torque 45 cubic inch motor. • The machine must have a removable slow speed agitator with high torque 45 cubic inch motor and a 24" impulse sealer with foot pedal control. • The machine must have a hydraulic pressure-controlled bagging head with foot pedal control and a retractable bag tray. • The machine must have two interchangeable bagging jaws to match different bag sizes and material densities. • The machine must have S-beam load cells for filling bags by weight and a digital control system for fine tuning and saving bag filling settings.
