Square Streetscape – Phase 1 City Project No. 111902 Federal Project No. B-23-CP-MO-0905

The City of Independence is soliciting bids for the Square Streetscape – Phase 1 project, which includes reconstruction of sidewalk, electrical, lighting, irrigation, landscaping, hardscaping, and additional improvements to the roadways adjacent to and in the area of the Independence Square and Truman Historic Courthouse. The project is valued at approximately $2-3 million, based on the bid tabulation results. Key features of the project include: • Reconstruction of sidewalk and electrical systems • Installation of new lighting and irrigation systems • Landscaping and hardscaping improvements • Additional improvements to the roadways adjacent to and in the area of the Independence Square and Truman Historic Courthouse The contract was awarded to three vendors: JM Fahey Construction Company, Gunter Construction Company, and Mega KC Corporation.
