Bristow Hall Entrance Accessibility Improvements

This contract modernizes the entrance to Bristow Hall at Longwood University to meet ADA accessibility standards. The work includes demolition of existing ramps, stairs, sidewalks, and associated hardscape; installation of a new concrete ramp, stairs, and sidewalks; placement of two 6‑inch utility conduits in a concrete duct bank; and extension of hand‑rails and guard‑rails. The project is split between a general contractor and an electrical contractor, both required to be Virginia‑licensed, eVA‑registered, and to meet a 42 % small‑business participation goal. The contract is a lump‑sum, competitively bid award with a 90‑day substantial‑completion schedule followed by a 30‑day final‑completion period.
