Description
The Rock River Water Reclamation District (RRWRD) solicited competitive bids to supply sodium hypochlorite solution (15 % chlorine by weight) on a per‑gallon basis. The district will receive up to 4,500‑gallon tanker loads, with an estimated annual consumption of about 125,000 gallons. Each delivery must be weighed before and after unloading, accompanied by a laboratory analysis, and must follow a detailed delivery procedure (Exhibit A). Bidders were required to submit a 10 % bid bond, a 100 % performance bond, and meet extensive insurance and human‑rights compliance requirements. The contract is awarded to Vertex Chemical Corporation for a base 12‑month term (May 1 2020 – April 30 2021) with optional 24‑ and 36‑month extensions.
