Rental Houses Demolition

The contract is for the demolition of multiple houses/buildings at Eastern Kentucky University's Richmond, KY Campus. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the complete project. The contract has a liquidated damages clause of $200 per day until substantial completion and $100 per day until final completion. A bid bond of 5% is required, and full payment and performance bonds will be required for the awarded contractor. The contract also includes a provision for the contractor to extend pricing to other state universities and university affiliate organizations within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. • The contract requires the contractor to provide surety bonds per Article 15 of the EKU Construction Solicitation Instructions and Conditions. • The contractor must provide a list of similar projects in both size and scope as being requested by this solicitation. • The contractor must provide a list of current projects under contract and bonded. • The contractor must upload a current ACORD certificate of insurance per the requirements outlined in Article 4 of the "EKU Solicitation Instructions and Conditions" document. • The contractor must provide reference information from three previous instances where a similar project or service was performed.
