SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS (SCBA)

The City of Eagle Pass issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the purpose of purchasing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for use by the Fire Department. The contract includes the purchase of SCBA units, facepieces, amplifiers, and cylinders. The bid tabulation lists several companies and their corresponding prices for each item. • The contract includes the purchase of 30 SCBA harnesses, 50 facepieces, 50 amplifiers, and 45 cylinders. • The city will select the lowest responsive and responsible bidder according to the specifications included in the solicitation. • The contract includes a split purchase option. • The city requires the selected vendor to provide free service and testing for the SCBA units.
