Open Space Grazing Services

The City of Chico Department of Public Works Park Division is seeking professional small animal grazing services for open space regions within the Chico city limits. The initial term of the agreement is for one year, with the option to extend annually up to an additional four years. The services include all labor, materials, parts, and equipment necessary to provide managed grazing services to City-owned open space properties. The proposed work aims to reduce vegetation that fuels wildfires, reduce invasive species, and mitigate soil erosion and run-off from wildfires. • The contract was awarded to three vendors: Paradise Grazing Co, Blue Tent Farms / Western Grazers, and Capra Environmental. • The agreement may be extended annually up to an additional four years. • The services include all labor, materials, parts, and equipment necessary to provide managed grazing services. • The proposed work aims to reduce vegetation that fuels wildfires and mitigate soil erosion.
