AB Mountain Communication Facility Site Improvements

The Municipality of Skagway contracted Hamilton Construction to improve the AB Mountain Communication Facility site. The work includes installing an 8‑ft‑tall galvanized chain‑link fence with barbed‑wire topping, a 12‑ft rolling vehicle‑access gate, a 39‑in. CMP storm‑drain culvert (or optional 36‑in. variant), associated grading, riprap, erosion‑control, and concrete footings. An Additive Alternate permits rock‑anchored concrete leveling for fence‑post installation and allows removal of large rocks on the north fence line. The project is subject to Alaska prevailing‑wage requirements, must be completed by October 15 2024, and carries liquidated damages of $1,500 per day for late performance.
