CURB AND SIDEWALK WORK FOR THE 2020 STREETS PROGRAM (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)

The contract is for curb and sidewalk work for the 2020 Streets Program in the City of Allentown. The work includes removal and disposal of concrete curb, construction of new curb and sidewalk, and incidental work as authorized by the City Engineer. The contract was awarded to DePaul and Company and G & B Construction Group, Inc. The total bid amount is $238,730.00 for DePaul and Company and $243,355.00 for G & B Construction Group, Inc. • The contract includes various items such as standard concrete straight curb, standard concrete radius curb, removal of concrete curb, and concrete sidewalk and planter strips. • The contract also includes removal of bituminous driveway aprons, placement of bituminous driveway aprons, and removal and placement of 8” concrete driveway aprons. • The contract includes tree removal, tree stump removal, and geotextiles for stabilization. • The contract includes various other items such as steel diamond plate covered drainage channel, 3” schedule 40 PVC drainage pipe, and curb knee wall adjacent to buildings at grade changes.
