EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT - Repair of Sanitary Line Along East Entrance of Hiner Hall

This emergency award contracts Cornerstone Construction to quickly excavate, repair, and restore a broken sanitary and condensate line located on the east side of Hiner Hall at Longwood University. The work includes addressing soil erosion and a sinkhole caused by the leak, and coordinating with Miss Utility and the university’s IT department to locate and protect nearby utilities during the repair. The contract was awarded without competition due to the urgent nature of the problem. • Emergency excavation and sanitary line repair at the east entrance of Hiner Hall. • Mitigation of soil erosion and a sinkhole caused by the leaking line. • Coordination with utility owners (Miss Utility, IT) to identify and protect power, sewer, and data lines during work.
