Spruce Lane Reconstruction

The City and Borough of Juneau has awarded a contract for the reconstruction of Spruce Lane. The work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, storm drain improvements, replacement of existing water main, new water services, new fire hydrants, new sanitary sewer manholes, sewer main repair, replacement of all driveway culverts, asphalt pavement, mailboxes, traffic control signs, and other miscellaneous related work. The contract was awarded to Coogan Construction Company for a total bid amount of $517,235.00. The contractor has the option to start work in 2022 or 2023, with completion dates specified accordingly. • The contract includes a Notice of Award and a Notice to Proceed. • The contractor is required to coordinate construction activities with Paul Beck, CBJ Project Manager. • The contract amount may be withheld up to 10% until approval is received from the City and Borough of Juneau. • The contractor is required to file a Notice of Work and a Notice of Completion as required by the Alaska Department of Labor.
