Description
The City of Madison contracted S&L Underground, Inc. to perform a comprehensive resurfacing and utility upgrade of Pflaum Road within the 2025 assessment district. The scope includes full street reconstruction, installation of new water, sanitary and storm sewer lines, replacement of water mains, installation of street‑lighting poles, luminaires and cabinets, traffic‑control measures, erosion‑control, and associated pavement‑marking. The project is a best‑value, lump‑sum contract valued at approximately $4.6 million, with a phased schedule that begins mid‑2026 and completes by late‑2027.
• Roadway grading, curb‑gutter, sidewalk, bike‑lane, and asphalt pavement installation.
• Utility work: PVC water mains (6‑, 8‑, 12‑in), sanitary‑sewer (8‑in PVC), storm‑sewer (12‑24‑in RCP), and associated trenching and back‑fill.
