Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District (USACE-MVK) intends to award a sole source purchase order to ABB, Inc. for on-site troubleshooting/technical support for the DCS880-GF gantry crane drive systems aboard USACE-MVK's Matboat 4801. The scope of work includes troubleshooting and repairing the drives on an as-needed basis, testing and troubleshooting the Mat Sinking Unit gantry cranes, and providing parts as needed to repair. The technician will be required to work 10-12 hours/day while at the Mat Sinking Unit or as needed depending on operational schedule. The contract will have a period of performance of one year from the time of contract award, with two option years to be utilized as needed. Key responsibilities include:
• Troubleshooting and repairing the DCS880-GF gantry crane drive systems
• Testing and troubleshooting the Mat Sinking Unit gantry cranes
• Providing parts as needed to repair
• Working 10-12 hours/day while at the Mat Sinking Unit or as needed
• Complying with security requirements and guidelines
