DE Benton Water Treatment Plant Dual Media and Filter Expansion

The City of Raleigh is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional engineering services for the design of the DE Benton Water Treatment Plant Dual Media and Filter Expansion. The project involves the construction of two new BAF and two new dual-media filters to increase firm filtration capacity to 20 MGD at a loading rate of 4 GPM/sf with one filter out of service. The scope of services includes data review and field investigations, basis of design report, process and hydraulic evaluation, design of dual media filters and filter expansion, permitting and regulatory requirements, construction cost estimation, bid phase services, select construction administration services and inspection, and as-built survey and plans. • The project is expected to enhance filter performance and provide firm filtration capacity. • The City is looking for a firm with experience in similar projects and a strong understanding of the scope of work. • The proposal should include a comprehensive narrative, outline, and/or graph demonstrating the firm's understanding and approach to accomplishing the tasks outlined in the scope of work. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for any reason and to waive any informality it deems in its best interest.
