Sources Sought - Domestically manufactured alternative to Chromium XO and accessories

The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking information from qualified and experienced contractors capable of providing domestically produced items that can mirror current genomics work done using a Chromium XO instrument and accessories. The instrument should be able to generate single-cell partitions from fresh, frozen, or fixed cells and capture molecular readouts of cell activity as gene expression. The contractor must demonstrate the ability to perform under a potential contracting vehicle. • The instrument must meet minimum specifications, including the ability to partition hundreds of thousands of cells in a single run, capture molecular readouts of cell activity, and be compatible with GEM-X microfluidic chips and reaction chemistry. • The contractor must provide consumables compatible with both the new instrument and the 10x Genomics Chromium instrument already in laboratory service. • The contractor must be able to deliver the instrument within 60 days of the order date. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting responses.
