Request for Proposal / Underground Facility Locating Services

The City of Winston-Salem is seeking proposals for underground facility locating services. The contractor will receive and respond to excavation notices, and provide markings and protection for the City's sub-surface facilities. The scope of work includes painting, flagging, or staking the horizontal location of underground facilities in accordance with the American Public Works Association Uniform Color Code. • The contractor will work in accordance with the North Carolina Underground Damage Prevention Act. • The contractor will provide markings and protection as required. • The contractor will respond to excavation notices directed to the City. • The contractor will work during normal business hours of 8 am – 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
